SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

NOTICE:

TNHR is going through some changes. Because our primary editorial staff plans to relocate, we are no longer maintaining a physical address. If you have recently tried to reach us by post and your mail was returned, we apologize for the inconvenience. We can still be reached online at: submissons at tnhr.org (for submissions) or editor at tnhr.org (for all other correspondence). If you are a press interested in sending us review copies, please contact us at reviews at tnhr.org for mailing arrangements. TNHR 3 is still in the works, though we're running several months behind schedule. We will make another announcement once we've finished reading through our backlog, If you would like to receive updates via email, please consider joining our mailing list.

The New Hampshire Review appears online according to an irregular publishing schedule. All submissions must be accompanied by a cover letter including the author's name, address, telephone number, email address (if available), and the title(s) of the work being submitted. We accept simultaneous submissions, however we ask that you alert us in your cover letter and notify us immediately upon acceptance elsewhere. Our response time varies, though we're working on a plan to drastically speed up the process. We acquire first North American serial rights. Accepted contributors will receive HTML "galleys" of their work prior to publication. Any questions not answered below should be addressed to: editor at tnhr.org.

POETRY: Please submit 3-5 original, previously-unpublished poems. Because editors are readers too, our tastes change over time. At present, we are seeking poetries we haven't seen—or haven't seen enough of—before. Take the tops of our heads off, please.
ARTWORK: We are looking for original, digitized artwork, including photographs, to be featured in each issue and/or used for covers. Please be conscious of the file size. If your work is accepted for publication, we will ask you for high resolution files.
REVIEWS: Please query us with a list of previous publications and clips at reviews at tnhr.org.
EMAIL: Email submissions to submissions at tnhr.org. Please read the following guidelines carefully:

1. In the subject line of your email please write your name, genre, and the date of your submission. For example: Jane Smith, Poetry, 4/25/06 or John Smith, Artwork, 5/1/06.
2. Paste your cover letter into the body of the email.
3. Paste your poems below the cover letter, or attach them as a SINGLE MSWord (.doc) or RTF file.

Anonymous submissions will not receive a response. We urge you to prepare your electronic submission as carefully as you would a regular mail submission. To date most people have done so, and we thank you for helping make this paperless system such a success!
