Built and opened to the public at the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island Resort and Spa (Formerly Hilton Ringali) is immensely exclusive restaurant and is only able to seat 14 people. The name Ithaa means pearl in local tongue. The Ithaa underwater restaurant is 16 feet below sea level and is made from a kind of acrylic ceiling, which is very strong and at the same time transparent. The aquarium-style tunnel dives diners a aquatic panorama that is sure to amaze its guests.

Construction Details of The Ithaa Underwater Restaurant.

The Ithaa was constructed in meticulously constructed in Singapore and was shipped to the Rangali island. Then the restaurant was sunk and pushed five meters into the seabed. The makers of the Ithaa, construction firm M.J. Murphy claimed that the underwater restaurant is able to last for about 20 years.
